Portable Counterweight Rod Antique Old Tool
32.21 $
Description
This is a portable steelyard scale housed in a gourd-shaped wooden box.
It was found at my parents' home, and the era it comes from is unknown.
There are two fulcrums, and the beam has markings.
The box, weights, and pans have writing on them as shown in the photos, but I am unsure if these are regional or units of weight.
Steelyard length: Approx. 21 cm
Pan diameter: Approx. 7.5 cm
Box: Approx. 27 x 9 x 3 cm (at widest points)
Weight of the counterweights: Approx. 40.6 grams
There is rust, dirt, and fraying of the string, but it will be sold as-is without polishing or repair.
This is a very old tool, and we ask that you understand that it may not measure accurately and that it has been stored in a private home. Therefore, please no claims and no returns.
*Photos 1-4 were taken upside down, so they have been rotated 180 degrees.
