Purpose: A tool for measuring the distance of curves such as roads and railways on maps.
This is a product from the Showa era, an antique item, but it is in working condition.
Accuracy is not an issue.
The scales are in centimeters and inches.
The inch scale is rare and hard to find.
While a curvimeter's primary purpose is to measure the length of curves on a map, it can also be used as a sewing tool. It would also make a nice retro Showa-era interior accessory.
