This bluing solution contains selenium dioxide and is an excellent substitute for the hard-to-find perchwood.
This is the C type, with ingredients optimized for zinc.
According to a certain YouTuber who has posted many bluing videos, for bluing HW materials, you must use the C type with Tobika Blacky.
Although it is labeled as a blackening agent, it does not produce a pure black color but rather a black with a blue sheen. Images 3-5 show examples of bluing performed with this product (naturally, the finish will vary depending on the application environment and technique).
- This product is a concentrate, so please dilute it with tap water 7 times for immersion or 3-5 times for application.
