I believe it is unused, but there are burn marks on the wick, so it cannot be said to be completely unused. It was found deep in a closet. I don't know much about it, so I can't explain it well. I'm listing it hoping it will go to someone who knows more about it. I think there might be some demand for it. The box is dirty. The cardboard divider inside the box is also quite dirty. I have not washed the product. Please do not purchase if you are sensitive about these things. I have a smoker in the house, so please refrain from buying if this is a concern. This item is from February 1973 (Showa 48). Please understand that it is not a perfect item. I truly don't know much about it, so I cannot answer questions. Please understand. There is no instruction manual. Please consider purchasing if you know how to use it. This is a non-returnable item. No claims, no returns, please. If purchased on a weekend, shipping will be on the following Monday. Thank you for your understanding.
