Amajo Yoji (Rain Castle Toothpicks)
A work by Keishi Mori.
A specialty product of Kimitsu, named Amajo (Rain Castle), a nickname for Kururi Castle. The toothpicks, meticulously carved one by one by the second-generation craftsman Keishi Mori from kuromoji wood harvested in the Kururi area, are favored in tea ceremonies and Japanese restaurants for their skillful craftsmanship and elegance. This is a framed display of decorative toothpicks, including finely crafted toothpicks, zakku toothpicks, and unique designs such as unagi (eel).
