Thank you for visiting!
This is a Tachikichi Shippo tea set.

As the name suggests, this is a set of a teapot and 5 teacups featuring the auspicious Shippo pattern.
The Shippo (Shippo) pattern is a traditional Japanese geometric motif. Because the pattern endlessly expands without interruption, it has been considered a very auspicious symbol of good fortune, such as prosperity for descendants and family.
This was a gift, but I don't drink much hot tea, so it has been stored unused.
This is an elegant tea set, typical of Kyoto's Tachikichi.
