Description
【Product Description】
This is a magnificent and complete set of sencha (green tea) ceremony utensils, inherited from an old family.
The centerpiece is an extremely rare, genuine pure tin *chashin-tsubo* (tea caddy) from the prestigious Kyoto-based tinware maker **Kanmogō-zō (乾茂號造)**. This particular piece was crafted by the master artisan **Ueda Izō (上田伊三)** as part of his highest-grade line, **Mochizuki (望月)**, and further distinguished by the hiragana character **kumi (くみ)**, indicating it passed the special inspection.
This is an authentic masterpiece where all four inscriptions – **Kanmo (乾茂), Mochizuki (望月), Izō (伊三), and kumi (くみ)** – are clearly visible in the images. The kumi inscription, in particular, signifies that the piece was inspected and approved by the elite craftsmen of Kanmogō at the time. A set featuring these four clear inscriptions is an exceptionally rare treasure that seldom appears on the market.
Accompanying this exceptional piece is a beautifully woven bamboo *teiran* (tea basket), teacups with delicate paintings, saucers, a teapot, and other items, forming a complete and authentic set ready for immediate use in a sencha ceremony.
