This is a set of a tea caddy and tea scoop made from Kabazaiku (cherry bark craft).
It was purchased during a visit to Kakunodate in Akita Prefecture.
This traditional craft uses cherry bark, and its appeal lies in its unique, beautiful grain and calm texture. With a tight-fitting inner lid, it's perfect for storing tea, but can also be used as a small storage container.
The tea scoop also features cherry bark decoration, creating a cohesive and elegant design.
As this is a used item, there are some minor scuffs and signs of use, but no noticeable major damage. Please check the photos for the condition.
