Medea continues the Art Nouveau style of furniture, which began when the great-grandfather, a furniture craftsman from the Brianza region of Italy, opened a small workshop in 1905. His spirit, deeply loving the Art Nouveau style and continuing to create exquisite furniture, has been passed down to his grandson, the current president Augusto Tagliabue, and the craftsmen. However, because the creation of these works of art requires many years of rigorous training, they are now rare pieces of furniture, continued to be made by only a few skilled craftsmen.
