This is a kensui (water container for tea ceremony) used to discard water for warming or rinsing teapots and teacups during tea preparation. It is not meant for drinking.
The hand-kneading technique blends three colors – vermilion, black, and brown – to create a unique pattern, with each piece being distinct.
The parts with concentric circles when viewed from the side are flatly cut, making it easy to hold and handle.
Diameter: 11.5cm, Height: 6.5cm.
As this item is also sold elsewhere, purchases are made by application.
In addition to this efugo kensui, we also sell similar three-color hand-kneaded yusamashi (tea coolers) and teapots.
