□ About Hikinokazura (Lycopodiella cernua)
This is a type of fern that retains its green color even when dried.
It has been used in Shinto rituals and festivals, such as the Daijosai and Niinamesai, since ancient times, and is already mentioned in the Kojiki and Manyoshu.

Its string-like form allows it to be wound into various shapes, making it suitable for wreaths and swags, as well as for garnishes in Japanese cuisine.

While it spreads along the ground and forms roots, these are usually removed during cleaning (see image).
If you prefer them left intact, please contact us.

Ferns, including Hikinokazura, absorb moisture not only through their roots but also through their green parts like leaves. Therefore, by replenishing moisture with a spray bottle to prevent them from drying out, you can enjoy them for over a month.

As these are natural products, they may have attached soil or dead leaves, scratches, dirt, breaks, or fading.
We select and send the best possible items, but please understand this in advance.
