□ About Hikarigenokazura (Lycopodiaceae)
This is a type of fern that retains its green color even when dried.
It has been used in Shinto rituals and festivals, such as the Daijosai and Niinamesai, since ancient times. It is mentioned in the Kojiki and Manyoshu.

Its string-like form allows it to be wound into various shapes, making it suitable for wreaths and swags, as well as for garnishes in Japanese cuisine.

It spreads by creeping along the ground and rooting, but the roots are usually removed during cleaning (see image).
If you prefer to receive it with the roots attached, please contact us.

Ferns, including Hikarigenokazura, absorb moisture not only through their roots but also through their green parts, such as leaves. Therefore, by keeping them from drying out with a spray of water, you can enjoy them for over a month.

As these are natural products, they may have attached soil or dead leaves, scratches, dirt, breaks, or fading.

We select and send the best possible items, but please understand that these imperfections may occur.
