This is a Takararyu Kiln black clay Tobikan Fuchi-shu kyusu (teapot) from Tokoname, meticulously crafted by a Tokoname artisan.
Tokoname ware's iron content in the clay reacts with tannins, the component that makes tea bitter, to mellow the bitterness and make the tea delicious. Enjoy a relaxing time with delicious tea brewed in this world-renowned Japanese traditional craft.
