Thank you for viewing.

This is a set of a Kyūtan Eiraku Kyūtan ware teapot and 5 lidded teacups with a floral arabesque pattern in red and gold.

Kyūtan Eiraku refers to a style of Kyūtan ware that was established in Kyūshū during the late Edo to Meiji periods by the master craftsman Eiraku Wazenn of Kyō ware. This style, known as Kinrande (gold brocade), features luxurious patterns drawn in gold on a red background. It signifies the gorgeous and elegant style of Kyūtan ware. The term also refers to the works created by Wazenn in Kaga (Kyūtan) and the general style influenced by him, representing the splendor of the Kaga Hyakuman-goku (a historical domain).

● Features: Technique: The Kinrande technique is characterized by delicate patterns of birds, flowers, and mythical beasts drawn solely in gold on a background completely covered in red (undercoat). Style: The fusion of Kyō ware's elegance and Kyūtan ware's vibrancy creates a luxurious and refined atmosphere.

[Condition]
New and unused, stored at home.
The condition is good for an old item.
The gold rim on the teapot's spout and handle, and the teacups' rims are slightly faded in some areas, but they are mostly intact and not noticeable. I believe they can still be fully enjoyed. However, condition is subjective, so please check the photos carefully before purchasing.

As this is a vintage item, please understand that those who are particular about condition or seek perfection should refrain from purchasing.
