Made with SUS440C, a high-grade stainless steel known for its high hardness and considered among the world's finest.
While most haircutting scissors are made from standard stainless steel, which lacks hardness and requires the addition of steel, SUS440C is a superior material.
The name stainless can be misleading; it doesn't mean rust-proof. Rust can still form if left wet or handled improperly.
There is no truly rust-proof steel. However, 440C's hardness allows it to maintain its sharpness. The combination of carbon and chromium (Cr) makes 440C resistant to rust and ensures long-lasting sharpness.
Proper maintenance, such as wiping with a cloth after use, is still necessary.
