10.00 $
Description
This is a set of 5 Hida Shunkei lacquer tea saucers.
These are exquisite pieces that showcase the artisan's skill. The surface is finished with a transparent, amber-colored lacquer (or high-quality coating), allowing the beautiful, unique natural wood grain of each piece to show through.
They are surprisingly light when held, and are characterized by the warmth of natural wood and a smooth texture that fits comfortably in your hand.
● Size
Diameter: Approximately 12cm
*Please note that there may be slight errors due to amateur measurements.
● Condition
These are old items, but the luster remains firm, and there are no noticeable chips or cracks.
There are minor scuffs due to age, but they are in good condition, allowing you to enjoy the aesthetic of an antique/vintage item.
● Highlights
- Beautiful natural wood grain (likely high-quality wood such as zelkova or horse chestnut)
- Elegant amber luster
- Timeless traditional shape
They blend well not only with sencha tea but also with modern Japanese-Western fusion table settings.
They also look lovely used as small plates for serving sweets.
We hope to pass these on to someone who understands old items and will cherish them.
