Natural. Sacred Sakaki for Shinto Altar Offerings, 2 Bunches
10.00 $
Description
Thank you for viewing.
This is a Sakaki (sacred tree) for rituals, made with a bundle of fresh green leaves.
A 90-year-old grandmother carefully shapes each bundle by hand with great care.
As this is natural, domestically grown Sakaki, it can be beautifully displayed for about 2 weeks if the water is changed daily.
Many people change it on the 1st and 15th of the month.
Also, as it is hot during this season, many people seem to change it every 10 days.
We do not cultivate Sakaki; we use naturally growing Sakaki from the mountains. Therefore, please understand that natural Sakaki may have variations in color and some dirt on the leaves compared to those specially cultivated or Chinese Sakaki, before purchasing.
