My homegrown apricots are finally starting to ripen. This year, the harvest of plums and apricots seems to be low in many regions. Our harvest is expected to be about 1/10th of last year's.
We use absolutely no pesticides (just left to nature (^o^;)), so you can make jam with peace of mind! However, this means there may be some insect damage or blemishes. We carefully harvest and remove any insects, but since they are completely pesticide-free, we cannot rule out damage from insects or blemishes during transport.
We will ship at room temperature via Takkyubin Compact. We will ship them to Yamato on the 23rd of May, and we recommend purchasing if you are in a region where delivery is possible the next day from Fukuoka.
We have 27 pieces, which we will pack into the Compact box. We will send you the exact items shown in the image.
This is the size of the Takkyubin Compact box.
*Since they are starting to ripen, we recommend purchasing if you are in a region where delivery is possible the next day. For other regions, please be aware that further ripening and spoilage may occur.
*The image shows apricots harvested on the evening of May 21st.
They are not soft to the touch, but they are ripening, so we believe it is best for those in regions where delivery is possible within a day. We ship from Fukuoka.
Apricots spoil quickly when fully ripe, so please understand that further ripening and spoilage during transport may occur.
We use them for processing rather than eating fresh. ? We recommend processing them into compote or jam after removing any spoiled parts.
For hard fruits that are not yet fully ripe, store them at room temperature to ripen further.
Wrap them in newspaper or place them in a plastic bag and store them in a cool place. Depending on the condition of the fruit and the storage environment, changes may occur within 2-3 days. They will become sweeter as the orange color deepens and the aroma intensifies.
Oriental apricots tend to be tart.
We recommend making jam or syrup.
