Description

Wood Type: Persimmon

As many of you know, persimmon wood occasionally develops black patterns.
It's said that these black patterns only appear on ancient trees over 100 years old, but I haven't found any reliable literature to support this and personally don't quite believe it...

Rather than age, it seems that black patterns appear when various conditions align as the tree nears death (its immunity weakens).
This is also not based on scientific evidence, but rather on empirical observation.
Even based on experience, it's a fascinating and mysterious world when you delve deeper.

A beloved Japanese precious wood since ancient times, the ultimate of the ultimate: Kurokaki (black persimmon).
We deliver it with a special custom finish exclusively for Kurokaki, recommended by our workshop.

Thank you.
