This is a 5-year-old seedling of a Nasu Japanese White Pine. The height of the seedling itself is approximately 6cm above ground. Small bonsai have an indescribable charm, and the Utsukushiki Mono (Beautiful Things) from The Pillow Book likely captures this sentiment, reflecting the richness of Japanese aesthetic sensibilities. This item is suitable for mame-shita (bean-sized) or mini bonsai, intended for those who enjoy cultivating small, palm-sized plants. (Accessories shown are not included.) As the trunk is slender and the seedling is young, it is very easy and effective to shape it with wire, laying the foundation for future bonsai cultivation. It is generally better to shape young, slender seedlings with stronger curves rather than ambiguous ones. This item is suited for mini bonsai with short, delicate foliage. As the saying goes, God is in the details, and we hope that even bonsai beginners will feel free to make adjustments to their satisfaction and enjoy the process of shaping their own bonsai. For wire adjustments, expensive tools are not necessary; a small, pointed plier with teeth is convenient (a bent-tip plier is preferable). Please excuse any minor damage or tears to the leaves. The natural habitat of this pine is the Nasu mountain range in northern Tochigi Prefecture, characterized by its straight, fresh green leaves. You will receive the exact individual shown in the photos (management number NGY-1071). Shipping will be via the 4th class mail service and will only occur on weekdays. Please note that delivery to distant locations, north of Tohoku or south of Kyushu, may take approximately 5 weekdays. We will take great care to ensure adequate moisture during packaging, but please refrain from purchasing if you will have difficulty receiving the package for an extended period. Furthermore, please understand that we cannot offer discounts, as cultivating Japanese White Pine seedlings from carefully selected seeds is challenging, with varying germination rates. (The gardening tag and display stand shown in the images are for photographic purposes only and are not included with the product.)
