Description
This is a vintage, large, octagonal wall mirror.
It was purchased from an antique shop in Fukuoka to be displayed at the entrance of a mountain villa during the bubble economy era. It features a stately wooden frame, with processed cuts on the corners of the octagonal mirror, and floral tole painting on all four corners, giving it a very calm and substantial feel. Above all, its size of 93cm in height and 73cm in width makes it a mirror with a strong presence. (Can be used vertically or horizontally)
I am selling it because I have sold my mountain villa (which was just a mountain hut) as part of my decluttering and end-of-life preparations. It would look great displayed on the wall behind a desk in a study, or above a fireplace.
The mirror surface is in excellent condition with no clouding whatsoever.
*The country of origin is unknown. Based on my judgment, I believe it is likely from Italy or France.
