Sweet Gum (Liquidambar formosana) 40 pieces, extra-large size, diameter approx. 3.5cm-4.5cm, boiled

These are sweet gum balls (officially, the fruit of the American sweet gum tree, *Liquidambar styraciflua*) harvested from the tree.

We selected only large, hard fruits with as many intact spines as possible.
We will include 40 pieces plus a few extras.

Most of the fruits still have their stems attached, but some may not.
Also, as these are natural items, the product you receive may differ from the image, but this does not affect the quality of the product. Please understand this in advance.

The fruits will be delivered washed, boiled, and dried. Although they have been washed, some may still have residue attached. We appreciate your understanding.

Sweet gum balls help maintain a slightly acidic environment in aquarium water.
When used in aquariums, the holes and spines of the fruits are said to provide hiding places, reducing stress for fish.

After receiving the product, please place it directly into your aquarium. Depending on the size of your aquarium, we recommend starting with about 3 pieces and observing your fish. They will likely become curious and approach the fruits. You can then gradually add more.

The fruits will float initially but will eventually sink.
If you wish to speed up the sinking process, you can try wedging them under structures or tying them with string.

As they have been boiled, they should cause minimal water clouding. You also do not need to worry about insects.

You can use these directly in your aquarium. They typically need to be replaced after about 3 months, so please exchange them for new sweet gum balls then.

They can also be used for crafts such as making wreaths.
