This is one of my father's cherished stones.
My father's hobby was making and collecting viewing stones, and he owned various stones. (He also made his own stands.)

This is a Tsukumo Tsubo Stone with a hollow interior, said to be found around Kujukushima in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

It is characterized by its pot-like hollow and rugged exterior, as if shaped by waves and long years,
and you can feel the beauty of the form created by nature.

The exterior has a rugged strength,
while the interior has a slightly smooth texture,
making it a stone where you can enjoy the contrast.

It is photographed with Himehiogi, a wild grass, inserted.
We also recommend using it as a vase for wild grasses or single flowers by utilizing the hollow.

You can also enjoy the change in texture by wetting it with water.

Please check the photos for the condition.
As it is a natural stone, we recommend it to those who can appreciate its charm, including its scratches and texture.
