Setagawa stones are considered one of the three great famous stones in the world of suiseki, alongside Kamogawa stones and Saji River stones.
The Setagawa River is the only Class 1 river flowing from Lake Biwa, Japan's oldest lake with a 4-million-year history. It connects to Osaka Bay via the Ujigawa and Yodogawa Rivers.
A wide variety of attractive stones are produced in the Setagawa River, and Setagawa stones are highly popular among stone collectors.
All stones exhibited here are Setagawa stones, unprocessed and without a base, referred to as ubu-ishi (raw stones). As they have diverse textures, please examine the images carefully before purchasing.
The stones may not stand upright on a flat surface as they are displayed on a bed of small pebbles in the photos. Thank you for your understanding.
[Size] Approximately 13 x 12 x 10 cm
An image with a golf ball is included for size comparison, please refer to it.
As these items are also listed elsewhere, there is a rare chance they may have already been sold. We will prioritize the buyer with the fastest payment. Thank you for your understanding.
