Copiapoa Seeds - Inventory Clearance - Spring 2025 Imported Seeds - Set of 50

We also offer a 2026 edition set. If you're aiming for a higher germination rate, that one is recommended (it also has more varieties).

*JN numbers have generally been confirmed for germination as of November (out of 3 seeds sown, 1-3 germinated. Germination took anywhere from a few days to about 2 months). KPCL numbers are generally confirmed for germination in the summer (conditions are the same).

We will package them separately by origin so you can identify each type, in sets of 10 varieties x 5 seeds each.

These are seeds imported in Spring 2025.

Regarding Copiapoa sowing methods:
- We recommend soil with low organic matter (e.g., 8 parts Akadama/Kanuma soil to 2 parts seed-starting mix).
- Covering the pot to increase humidity significantly improves germination rates (the environment I use for sowing is shown in the photos).
- Some seeds have slow germination, so if they don't show activity after about 2 months, you can try drying the soil completely and then resuming bottom watering, or exposing them to rain after drying, which can induce germination.

They are very susceptible to mold, so be sure to sterilize thoroughly. This applies to the soil as well, and the pulp that may be faintly attached to the seeds can also cause mold, so spraying with a fungicide like Benika after sowing is also effective.

*Additional seeds can be purchased. Please feel free to inquire.
