【Rice Paddy Experience at Home】Seed Rice 55g Inflorescence State, Ear Tip, Great for Bucket Rice, Environmental Education, Nature
Thank you for viewing.
These are rice seeds (seedlings) from the tips of rice ears.
We are offering these to those interested in rice cultivation or bucket rice cultivation.
Quantity: 55g
Cultivation location: Nagano Prefecture
Photos 1, 2, and 3 show 10g as an example. We will ship these or just the tips of the rice ears in simple packaging. Please note that seeds may fall off or ears may break during shipping.
Cultivation Method:
No animal compost used. Traditional methods without electric machinery, hand-planted, hand-harvested, threshed using a winnowing machine and foot-powered thresher, and no pesticides used during the cultivation period.
Since starting farm work, I have not bought or used pesticides or herbicides, preferring to work in harmony with nature.
I make compost from fallen leaves and homemade fermented organic matter to enrich the soil.
Counting the grains, there were approximately 200 seeds in 5g, which is enough for bucket cultivation.
As these are hand-selected, they may contain stems other than seeds, empty husks, or damaged/cracked seeds. Please understand. We will include slightly more than 55.0g. We are listing these as new from the perspective of being new rice and unused.
The amount of seeds can be adjusted, so please contact us if you have a desired quantity.
You can find various methods for growing by searching for bucket rice cultivation.
First, remove the seeds from the ears:
① Soaking in water → Change water daily. Germination is said to occur when the temperature exceeds 100℃ (this is likely a mistranslation and should refer to a specific germination temperature, not boiling).
② Plant the germinated seeds in a planter, etc.
Once the sprouts appear and have 5 leaves, transplant them into a bucket.
Fill the bucket with soil and water to create a muddy consistency.
④ Grow in a sunny location, being careful to keep the water level consistent.
From my experience, growing rice is not difficult.
I believe rice plants adapt and grow according to their environment. For example, if you plant fewer rice stalks in a bucket, the plants will naturally tiller and increase in number.
Even if you don't know something, it's interesting to try it out.
I hope you will give it a try.
* We were able to harvest from upland rice, but the yield was less than with paddy rice.
* We cannot guarantee that all seeds will germinate, but I have been using these seeds to grow rice paddies every year.
* No packaging is included.
We also sell other seeds.
We have mochi rice seeds as well.
