Wheat Seeds - 12g (approx. 300 seeds) - Harvested 2025 - Pesticide-Free
For harvesting the grain, the sowing season is October-November. However, if using as green manure to be tilled in without heading, or as mulch, it can be sown in spring. If sowing in autumn, the seeds will germinate without issue for several years if stored in the vegetable crisper of your refrigerator.

These are seeds from organically grown, pesticide-free wheat, harvested in 2025.
Sowing is in autumn, but please prepare them at your convenience.
The awns (thorn-like hairs) are long and have a presence, so they were previously used for ornamental purposes. This year, I acquired a small stone mill and also used them for food by grinding them into flour.
It seems to be a variety leaning towards soft flour, but this is not certain.
For general households, large-scale milling or powdering may be difficult, but the grains separate very easily from the heads, so you can easily extract the whole wheat.
I think it would be fun to experience extracting the wheat before it becomes flour with your children.
In addition to food, they can be used as dried flower material with the heads intact, or the grains can be used as pet food.
They can also be used as seeds for next year's straw utilization. Please also use them for natural farming mulch.
Photo 1: Seeds. 300 seeds = approx. 11g. Comes with 300+ seeds in a 12g package.
Like barley, until the grain develops, it looks like almost a weed, so please be careful not to mistake it for one and weed it out.
Photo 2: Wheat heads, tip portion.
Due to sunlight, harvest time, or genetic factors, there are heads of light and dark colors. The grains are formed similarly in both.
Photo 3: Comparison of dried specimens.
The two on the left are barley, and the one on the right is the wheat head from this listing. Like barley, if you harvest the heads while they are still green and dry them, you can create dried green heads. The straw can also be used as mulch in the garden.
Photos 4-6: I tried grinding them with a stone mill.
Since it's a small mill, about 10kg capacity, I ground it several times to make flour, and the children enjoyed it too.
The white powder is the so-called flour part, and the brown part is the bran.
Sowing period: Around October-November
Harvest period: Following May-June (when it turns brown if harvesting for seeds)
Please make use of them.
