『Foxtail Millet (Enokorogusa)』: Seeds

Foxtail millet that smells of autumn
Commonly known as cat's tail, it's a grass with a cute appearance.

In early summer, its lush green ears swaying in the wind are lovely,
and in late autumn, you can enjoy its natural wheat-like color.

The harvested ears can be displayed as they are.
They are also popular as materials for handmade items such as bouquets, wreaths, and swags.

It is also said to be the origin of millet and can be eaten deliciously without threshing.
Drying the leaves and stems to make tea is said to result in a subtly sweet and delicious aftertaste (^_-).

It appears in books on wild plant cuisine as more than just a weed,
and in outdoor books and cookbooks as an edible grain.

Seeds can be sown year-round, except during the coldest winter months.
Foxtail millet has a tendency to spread naturally through fallen seeds.
The pointed sprouts of monocotyledonous plants begin to grow straight up.

The optimal germination temperature for the seeds is 7-40℃.
The germination depth is 1-2cm (maximum 12cm).

1. Sow seeds without overlapping.
2. Lightly cover with soil.
3. Water to keep the soil from drying out.
↑ For ground planting, watering is not necessary; natural rain is sufficient.

We collect only the seeds, but there may be fine hairs mixed in.
We believe we have conveyed this in the images,
but please forgive us if there are any oversights.
