Hokkaido-grown [Naturally Cultivated] Black Sengen Soybeans - 100 pieces
This is Hokkaido's rare Kuro-Sengoku Soybean.
It is naturally cultivated without any fertilizers or pesticides during the growing season. This variety thrives and produces abundant beans.
Kuro-Sengoku Soybeans were previously not used for food but were cultivated as green manure. In recent years, their nutritional value has been found to be higher than that of regular soybeans, leading to wider cultivation.
The cultivation method is the same as regular soybeans, but although they are small, they require a slightly longer growing period. Ample sunlight ripens the Kuro-Sengoku Soybeans, intensifying their flavor.
In Hokkaido, seeds are germinated in pots in April or May before the cuckoo's call and then transplanted to the fields. They are harvested in autumn when the pods turn brown.
To eat them, simply add Kuro-Sengoku Soybeans to your usual white rice and cook as you normally would. The rice will turn a faint red color.
We also offer various other seeds. Please comment if you wish to purchase multiple items. For each additional item after the first, the price will be reduced by 50 yen.
(Example) For an order of two items priced at 300 yen each, the total would normally be 600 yen, but with the 50 yen discount, it will be 550 yen.
For an order of three items: 800 yen
For an order of four items: 1050 yen
For an order of five items: 1300 yen
Please comment if you have any questions.
