I have 20 years of experience in aquariums, but I am reluctantly retiring from the hobby due to having young children. I collect the wood myself from the sea and mountains.
It has been boiled! Boiled for 12 hours!
While most of the salt and impurities are expected to be removed,
the purification process is not perfect!
It has a greenish, mold-like color, but this is the condition after boiling.
The water in your aquarium may turn brown for a while, but this is called blackwater and is harmless to aquatic life, so please rest assured!
It's incredibly cool!
If I weren't taking a break from aquariums, I'd want to use it myself! It's that cool.
Recommended for reptile lovers too!
I think it can also be used for ikebana (Japanese flower arranging)!
