The seeds are covered by a hard shell, making germination difficult.
Therefore, rubbing the seeds together to crack the shell and soaking them in water overnight before sowing will improve germination. (You can easily crack the shell by rolling it against a hard object like a cup.)

Soaking the seeds in water overnight the day before sowing allows them to absorb sufficient moisture, increasing the germination rate.

?? Cilantro, like carrots and parsley, is an annual herb belonging to the Apiaceae family. Its leaves can be used in salads, and its seeds, commonly known as coriander seeds, can be used as a spice. This herb, native to the Mediterranean, prefers a cool summer, warm winter, and relatively dry environment. Generally, it is less susceptible to pests and diseases.

The roots are also a delicious herb. Don't discard them; chop them and add them to soup for a rich vegetable broth.
