This is a very popular lettuce in China. Its long, narrow leaves have a great texture and are rich in vitamins, minerals, and calcium. It's also sweet and delicious. It's easy to cultivate and is resistant to both heat and cold. Enjoy it raw in salads, or as its name suggests, it pairs well with oil, making it versatile for stir-fries, dressed dishes, soups, and shabu-shabu.

Days to germination (approx.): 3-7 days
Optimal germination temperature (approx.): 20°C


?Grow it like regular lettuce.
?Sow 3-5 seeds in a seedling pot, covering with about 5mm of soil.
?Water daily. When the true leaves appear (2-3 leaves), thin to one plant per pot, removing the rest.
?When the true leaves appear (4-5 leaves), transplant to planters or fields, spacing them 30cm apart.
