[Noguchi Seed]
Mochi Waxy Corn (Yellow) Seeds - 15 seeds
Heirloom variety (Domestic seed, untreated seeds)

● Features & Uses
The flesh is soft and rich in starch, offering a unique chewy, popping texture like mochi. It's best enjoyed freshly picked and boiled, or grilled to a fragrant finish! You can also remove the kernels and cook them with the cob, a little natural salt, and rice for an exquisite Mochi Waxy Corn Rice!

● Cultivation Guide
Sowing Period: From mid-April if using mulch to warm the soil, or May-June for open fields (germination optimal temperature 20-28°C).

Cultivation Method: Sow a few seeds per spot at 30cm intervals, thinning to one plant after germination. Be mindful of frost damage; sow shallowly when soil temperature is low for easier germination.
?? Caution: Cross-pollination (Xenia effect). If other varieties like sweet corn are nearby and their flowering periods overlap, pollen transfer can cause mixed kernels on the cob, losing the chewy texture. Stagger flowering times or plant at a distance.

☆ Pro Tip ☆
To ensure good pollination and plump kernels, we recommend planting 10 or more plants together (in two rows). If you have limited space, you can achieve ears with fewer missing kernels by cutting off the male flowers and applying pollen directly to the silks (hand pollination).

Why not try saving your own seeds for next year and beyond? As seeds are passed down, they become vibrant, energetic vegetables perfectly adapted to the land. Let's enjoy them together with nature!

Before shipping, I gently expose the seeds to the vibrations of a tuning fork playing frequencies of love and harmony (528Hz, 888Hz, etc.), wishing for them to grow strong and healthy in your care. I send them off with all my heart, carried by pleasant vibrations.
