Snake gourd is said to originate from South India and Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).
We have been selling seeds of this species for 5 years. The seeds in this listing were harvested in September 2025.
Last year, we sowed seeds in June, harvested and ate them in August. They were delicious with no bitterness and no peculiar taste.
They are also rich in minerals and help lower body heat, so they seem to be effective against heatstroke.
