Scotch Bonnet Jamaican Yellow Super Hot Chili Seeds (20+ seeds) Organic
Scotch Bonnet
Jamaican Yellow
20+ Seeds
The Scotch Bonnet is a very hot chili pepper popular in Jamaica and other Caribbean regions. It has a heat level comparable to or exceeding that of the Habanero (100,000-350,000 SHU), but is characterized by its fruity aroma and deep umami flavor.
It is named after its shape, which resembles a Scottish bonnet, and is an essential ingredient in dishes like jerk chicken, as well as a component in hot sauces.
This is a rare and extremely hot chili pepper that is still uncommon in Japan.
Chili peppers are prone to cross-pollination. Therefore, Scotch Bonnets are grown in a separate field, and no other chili pepper varieties are cultivated within a 100-meter radius.
This significantly reduces the risk of seeds sprouting into hybrids or other chili pepper varieties. (While we take precautions, 100% prevention is not possible due to natural insect activity.)
Image 4 shows a portion of the seeds harvested this season.
Temperature and humidity control can be somewhat challenging for chili pepper germination, so we have included over 20 seeds.
(As these are small seeds, more than 20 will fit.)
