California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) Seeds, Approx. 250 Seeds
Papaveraceae family
Annual
Optimal Germination Temperature: 15°C - 20°C
Spring Sowing: Mid-March to Early June
Autumn Sowing: Early September to Mid-October
Features cup-shaped orange flowers similar to the corn poppy, which open on sunny days and close when there is no direct sunlight, such as on rainy or cloudy days.
As they dislike transplanting, sow directly in a location with good sunlight and drainage.
Cover the seeds lightly with soil (1cm - 2cm) so they are just hidden.
Thin the seedlings to about 20cm apart as they grow.
Water when the surface of the soil dries out.
In addition to base fertilizer, occasional top dressing with commercially available fertilizer is sufficient.
May also spread by self-seeding.
Seeds harvested in July 2025.
Purchasing more than 250 seeds is also possible.
