Hard to find / Extremely Spicy / Ogasawara Islands / Iwo Jima Chili Peppers (Dried, with seeds) / 10 pieces

◆This is Iojima Island chili pepper, originating from Iojima Island in the Ogasawara Islands.
◆This is a set of 10 dried chili peppers for sale.
◆It is a variety that originally grew wild on Iojima Island.
◆We purchased these from the JA (Agricultural Cooperative) on Chichijima Island in the Ogasawara Islands, planted the seeds in April of last year (2025), and cultivated them in Shimane Prefecture.
◆After harvesting in November-December of last year, they were dried for one month.
◆Iojima Island chili peppers are rare and difficult to obtain because fresh ones spoil easily, and dried ones are also scarce. They are rarely available on the mainland.
◆They are small, about 2 cm in size, with a cute appearance, but they are spicier than regular chili peppers. They also have a rich flavor and are used in the Ogasawara Islands as a substitute for wasabi when eating sashimi and other dishes.
◆Since we will be shipping dried peppers, you can plant the seeds inside to cultivate them yourself. (Each pepper contains about 5-6 seeds. The best time to sow seeds is around spring.) Chili peppers are usually planted directly in the ground, but by planting them in pots, you can enjoy cute, extremely spicy chili peppers indoors every year.
★A reference memo on care and cultivation methods will be included.
※The peppers can be eaten, but please do so at your own risk.
