These are wild chives bulbs that grew naturally in our abandoned field, dug up and hung in the garage.
Wild chives are planted around August. They can be grown in fields, gardens, or planters. It's best to hang them in a net under the eaves until planting to dry them, so we will include one net.
In Niigata Prefecture, these wild chives bulbs are used not only as a condiment but also, around this time of year, eaten with miso after peeling the white bulbs.
Their crisp texture and spiciness are highly popular as snacks with drinks or as a side dish for dinner.
They are also delicious when pickled in soy sauce.
