These are handmade, but crafted with non-abrasive materials. They are very soft and will not harm your medaka.

The 5th image shows a similar product in a different color, floating in a home aquarium for reference.

Spawning mats are used by medaka to lay their eggs. In the wild, medaka attach their eggs to aquatic plants like water hyacinth.

Please wash before use.
To help them sink, after placing them in the aquarium, gently squeeze the base to release water and leave them. They should sink within 1-2 hours.

The roots spread out softly, providing a shaded area where medaka can enter without harm, attracting them to the mat.
