Description
【Honmoku Farm Herb Seedling】
We deliver pesticide-free grown Manganji chili peppers from the warm Honmoku Cape, surrounded by the sea on three sides, as potted seedlings with soil.

【Shipping】
We will ship them in their soil-filled pots via 4th class mail.
Shipping will primarily be on weekdays (Monday), (Tuesday), and (Wednesday).

【Soil】
Use commercially available horticultural soil mixed with dolomite lime, well-rotted compost, and slow-release fertilizer.
Organic lime made from oyster shells is recommended as it prevents the soil from hardening.

【Planting】
As these grow into large plants, plant one per 65cm planter.

【Harvest】
Harvest is possible from summer to late autumn. In my home, we make yuzu pepper at the end of autumn using Taka-no-tsume chili peppers and green yuzu before they turn red.
Adding Manganji chili peppers, not just Taka-no-tsume, makes for a slightly milder yuzu pepper.
If you portion them and freeze them in Ziploc bags, they will last for a year.
In winter, they are indispensable as a side dish for hot pot, udon, soba, boiled tofu, and chilled tofu.
Actually, they are also delicious eaten raw, crunch by crunch.
Please try growing them together with Taka-no-tsume (chili peppers).
