Chives are similar to Asatsuki and are a type of green onion that can be used as a condiment.
Finely chopped leaves can be mixed with butter, used as a garnish in soups, omelets, salads, and sauces. The purple spherical flowers are cute (edible flowers) and will liven up your kitchen garden.
★ Acts as a #companionplant to prevent #aphids and #powderymildew. Planting chives at the base is said to prevent #scale insects and #rot disease.

They are resistant to both heat and cold.
They can overwinter without problems!
