A total of 18 seedlings: 9 green perilla seedlings (Ooba) and 9 red perilla seedlings.

These perilla plants sprout every year from self-seeding, grown with a natural farming philosophy of no pesticides, using weeds for mulch, and fertilized only with rice bran and oil cake.

They spread so quickly if left unattended that I decided to list them. The seedlings are about 10cm tall from the soil surface. (They are growing daily, so they may be larger when shipped.)

Perilla plants multiply endlessly; when you cut the stem, new shoots emerge and grow.

Due to the recent extreme heat, the leaves can get scorched, so planting them in a shaded area will yield softer perilla.

After purchase, the seedlings will be carefully removed with soil attached and shipped via anonymous Mercari delivery, which operates on weekends as well. However, for those in distant locations, delivery may take time, and we cannot guarantee freshness. We ship from Kanagawa Prefecture, so we kindly request that buyers be located nearby.

Also, as these are grown without pesticides, some leaves may have insect damage or other imperfections. We ask for your understanding in this regard.
