These are grown in my home garden by an amateur.
As they are plants, their condition may change during shipping. I often include extra seedlings, so please purchase if you are understanding.

These seedlings are grown from perilla seeds that have been cultivated without pesticides for over 20 years.

As this is a delicate vegetable, we recommend purchases from nearby prefectures as shipping is from Hyogo Prefecture.
They will be shipped as bare-root seedlings.

Every year, they grow large enough that we can't eat them all. They are great for somen noodles, perilla pasta, and can even be used as a decorative leaf in bento boxes, where they are said to have preservative qualities. They are also highly nutritious.
At the end of summer, you can harvest the perilla seeds and make delicious tsukudani (simmered condiment). (≧?≦)

They are easy to grow even in planters, making them perfect for home gardens.
The bare-root seedlings will be shipped with their roots moisturized.
