The size of the seedlings sent will be approximately this size, but please understand that the size may vary slightly depending on stock availability.
The seedlings will be sent bare-root (soil will be removed) with roots wrapped in kitchen paper for protection.

The tips of the vines may break or wilt during transport, but if the roots are healthy, new shoots will definitely grow, so please plant them without worry.
(We may trim the tips if they interfere with packaging.)

We will ship via 4th class mail with free shipping.
It will take at least 2 days even within the Kanto region.
It may take about a week for distant locations.
Since there is no delivery on weekends and holidays, the transit time may be longer if it spans a weekend.
Please understand that it may take time for delivery before bidding.

Shipments via 4th class mail are only made on Mondays.
(If Monday is a holiday, shipping will be on Tuesday.)
Since 4th class mail takes time for delivery, the seedlings may be damaged during transit.
Also, they will be further damaged if collection from the post box is delayed. Please be aware of this.

About Okawame:
It is a perennial vine native to tropical regions.
Its official Japanese name is Akazakazura,
also known as Unnan Hyakuyaku and Okawame.
As the name Hyakuyaku (meaning hundred medicines) suggests, it is a highly nutritious vegetable.
To eat it, blanch it in boiling water for about 10-20 seconds and serve as a dressed dish.
It is said to have a texture and taste similar to wakame seaweed, but personally, I feel it is similar to tsurumurasaki.
It is easier to eat than tsurumurasaki.

It also appears to be quite nutritious:
Calcium: 6 times that of bell peppers
Zinc: 2.5 times that of chives
Magnesium: 8 times that of lettuce
Copper: 8 times that of cabbage
