To use a triangular scale, first confirm the scale of the drawing. Then, use the side of the scale that matches the scale printed on the drawing. Place the scale on the drawing and read the length. For example, for a 1:100 drawing, use the 1:100 side of the scale. Align the zero mark with the starting point of the drawing, and read the desired distance on the scale. The actual measurement will be directly indicated.
