[About Amami Oshima Mud-Dyed Cowhide]
Amami Oshima's mud-dyed cowhide is a material that applies the traditional techniques of Oshima Tsumugi, which has a 1,300-year history, to natural leather. Its greatest features are its unique deep color and natural mottled patterns created by the chemical reaction between plant-derived tannins and iron in the mud fields. ^^
