The S285 desk series embodies the Bauhaus philosophy of integration of art and technology, a German design school that led 20th-century design. The designer is modernist architect Marcel Breuer.
A continuous steel pipe serves as the entire frame, expressing ultimate functional beauty. The top and shelf boards are available in ash or walnut, and can be chosen from oil finish, white paint, or black paint. In addition to structural harmony, the balance of material textures is also superb.
