12.47 $
Description
Thank you for looking.
This is a glass case specimen of a male rhinoceros beetle (5cm).
When you think of Japanese summer insects, the rhinoceros beetle is probably the first one that comes to mind. We selected a cute, medium-sized individual that fits in your hand.
How about it for display, as a present or gift, or for interior decoration?
Glass case: Height 11 x Width 4.5cm
The specimen has been treated with chemicals, thoroughly dried, and preserved.
The specimen is fixed to a mount (polystyrene board) with glue.
To prolong the life of the specimen, desiccant (silica gel) and insect repellent chips (Aomori cypress) are included for insect and mold prevention. These can be replaced by opening the case lid.
There are no missing parts, but there is a pinhole on the elytra, so it is listed as having some damage. Please check the condition in the images just in case.
Shipping will be via Yu-Packet Plus. We will take care to pack it carefully, but as it is a very delicate item, if the specimen is damaged during delivery, please repair it with wood glue or similar adhesive. We ask that only those who understand the above purchase the item.
