10-piece set of 1-year-old bare-root seedlings of Senryo (red and yellow) A

It takes several years for the fruit to appear, but we are offering young seedlings grown from seed.

This is a mix of seedlings that bear auspicious red fruit, often seen at the end of the year, and seedlings that bear rare yellow fruit.

- Size (from the soil surface): Approx. 5cm to Approx. 11cm
- Quantity: 5 red + 5 yellow (mixed sizes)

*Shipping: Mondays and Tuesdays only (excluding holidays. Orders placed after Tuesday afternoon will be shipped the following week.)
We will ship via regular mail.
Therefore, time and arrival date cannot be specified, and there is no tracking number.
If you are concerned, we can send it by express delivery for an additional 300 yen. Please comment before purchasing.

The seedlings in the photo (taken on March 12th) are examples of Thousand-Year-Old-Red (Senryo) that bear red fruit.

We will mark them so you can distinguish between red and yellow Thousand-Year-Old-Red, as they are difficult to tell apart.

We will select from our stock pots, so please leave it to us.

The seedlings will be removed from their pots just before shipping.

The soil will be removed, and the roots will be wrapped in wet newspaper to prevent drying, so we believe there is no need to worry about them dying.

Please plant them immediately after purchase.

If they grow well and a few years pass, they will grow into plants that bear fruit.

When the flowers bloom in the summer, the fruit will appear from the end of the year until around February of the following year.
Please be aware that birds, such as Japanese turtle doves, may come to peck at the fruit during the winter when food is scarce.

As it is an auspicious item that decorates the New Year and is quite valuable, planting it in your garden might be a good deal.
If used as cut flowers, they can last until around February if the water is changed frequently and they are displayed in a location not directly exposed to heating vents.

- Location: Prefers partial shade (direct sunlight all day will cause leaf burn.)
- Watering: Likes water. Water thoroughly when the surface of the soil dries out.
