Red Sweet Corn
Yamato Rouge Seedlings, 24 count
Requires 3-meter rows planted with two rows spaced 30 cm apart.
Corn does not grow large unless given more fertilizer than you might expect.
Yamato Rouge grows to nearly 3 meters tall, with the corn ears at eye level.
While damage from the corn earworm is less than with other varieties, they are prone to falling over in strong winds.
They will be removed from the plug tray, wrapped in plastic wrap, and shipped via Nekoposu.
They are said to be delicious in mixed rice or tempura.
They are not very sweet when eaten raw.
The texture is firm and chewy.
